Open Question: Should I be afraid she may be brainwashed?

A married family friend is moving to Colorado unexpectedly! My wife said she think she may be involved in a cult because this is sudden and she's been acting strangely since October (praying a lot, pointing to Heaven, etc). Should we (my wife and I) get involved? She's even started to tell my wife about some "Miracle Man" in the mountains, and I think she's trying to get her to follow him.
